On 2 – 3 September 2006, the 13th Czech International Air Fest (CIAF) will take place at the Brno International Airport. This air show is one of the largest events of this kind in the Czech Republic, and it also ranks among the most prestigious in Europe. CIAF is a „must“ for all aviation fans and those who love the thrilling atmosphere of a large air show.

At the time of CIAF, the city of Brno will become the focus of European aviation activities and it will bask in the friendly atmosphere of a multinational aviation family meeting. On each of the two days you can expect 7 hours of air show and high quality background for the whole family. On static display, you will be able to „touch“ the military aircraft . It will be possible to talk with the pilots, ground personnel and other interesting people.

The most attractive parts of this year´s CIAF will again include the military aircraft displays. The Armed Forces of the Czech Republic will present the JAS 39 Gripen supersonics, the L-159 light combat aircraft, Mi-24, W3A Sokol, Mi17 helicopters. We can look forward to fighting, combat and transport aircraft from invited countries.

The highlight of the program is expected to be the display of the „Frecc Tricolori“ aerobatic team of the Italian Air Force, „Team - 60“ from Sveden and „Bialo-Cervonie Istry“ – Polish aerobatic team. We believe that we are going to be able to get the full flavour of their display at the Czech International Air Fest on 2 – 3.9.

The airport will be open to public between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. The entrance fee is CZK 250, children aged 6 to15 will pay CZK100, the admission for those under 6 years is free. More information on the programme, transportation and other details can be found on our web site, which is constantly updated.
